Qualifications
Valid drivers license (CDL PREFERRED), must clear a background check and drug screen. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to communicate Ability to use computer and [word processing, spreadsheet, computer aided drafting software] accurately and efficiently
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively Knowledge of Broadband RF design and theory, knowledge of company products and services and knowledge to use handheld communication devices and applications.
Other Requirements
Education
High School Diploma and technical/vocational training or equivalent work experience
Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE)
Related Work Experience
Technical work experience preferred
3+ years of Construction work experience preferred
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Exposure to dust, dirt, noise, insects, rodents, pets, and cleaning solutions
Work outdoors in all kinds of weather and at all times of the day or night
Work performed near power lines and electrici
Job Description
We are an equal opportunity employer looking for operator/locators for Vermeer 20/22 and Ditch Witch JT 20/20 drills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Placement of underground communications cables and all requisite labor including, but not limited to small equipment operation,
Directional drilling/boring (Vermeer/Ditch Witch Drills) and locating equipment, hand digging, conduit placement, cable/fiber pulling, vaults, pedestals. Ability to trench, bore, plow, place duct, and direct bury main-line and drops. Locate & verify all utilities before construction (locators). Ability to read maps/blueprints a plus. Clean-up job site when finished with construction. Jobsites will be away from office\headquarters located in Murray KY and will require travel and extended stays away from home at times.
Adhere to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable
Know, understand and follow company policy
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
