Qualifications
Applicant must have at least 5 years verifiable experience in underground construction. Duties include supervising hand digging crew, splicing coax and balancing, among other tasks as assigned. Preference given if have verifiable aerial construction experience as well. Directional and missile boring experience a big plus, especially if you have a CDLA.

Prefer you have your own splicing tools and meter.
Job Description
The job is supervising a hand digging crew. Duties, among others, will include transporting crew to and from job site, making customer contact prior to entering property, keeping track of crew production and hours, documenting work on company forms. Duties will also include verifying work is done to specification, proper restoration is done to landscaped and sodded areas, cable is spliced, service is restored and signal levels are appropriate. Must understand Sunshine State One-Call markings and required clearances from other utilities as well as verifying locates are done (paint on the ground) prior to work being performed. 95% of the system is underground. In addition to verifiable underground construction experience, aerial construction experience is preferred but not required. Directional boring experience is highly desirable as well, especially if you possess a CDL Class A license.
Applicant must be self-motivated, responsible, resourceful and flexible. The applicant must be willing to take on tasks that may not be included in the duties listed above. Hours are typically Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM but must be willing to come in early or work late if requested to do so or if service cannot be restored in that time frame. Weekends are rarely required.
