Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED
Valid Driver’s License
Clean driving record
Availability to work overtime and maybe weekends (as needed)
Must be computer proficient
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, but could exceed 100 lbs. Ability to travel
Ability to comprehend and interpret utility maps/prints
Job Description
Use laptop computer or other device to receive, document, respond to and close out locating tickets, both during normal hours and after hours to meet time requirements
Read and interpret utility maps/prints
Use assigned communication equipment to effectively communicate with excavators, utility reps, and company personnel regarding underground facilities.
Operate electronic detection equipment to locate and mark underground facilities within prescribed accuracy limits
Perform light excavation with a shovel to expose buried utilities
Provide accurate documentation and or sketches related to all locates completed
Operate company vehicle in a safe manner
Maintain professional appearance
Be able to perform manhole entry using assigned equipment and safety devices
Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor
