Qualifications
Only local candidates will be considered. Prior experience, a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent required and be authorized to work in the U.S. EOE.

Ability and willingness to follow direction from Supervision, Ability to work independently or in a team environment &communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners and customers; Ability to climb utility poles, approx. 20' in height. Ability to lift and/or pull 100 pounds several times each day Ability to endure long periods of standing, sitting, or walking Ability to work in an outdoor environment during all times of the year Willingness to travel and work additional hours as needed.

Communications Construction Group is a full service company - equipped, staffed, and experienced in all phases of Cable Television Construction, from initial consultation and preliminary planning through construction of distribution plant, installations, and final proof-of-performance testing.
Telecommunications Company seeks a full time CATV Fiber Optic Project Supervisor to work in the Eastern PA (Philadelphia Region), northern Delaware, and the State of NJ.
Duties Include
-Manage schedule of several fiber splicing crews throughout the region.
-Respond to field to assist fiber splicers as needed and for emergencies restorations
-Ability to splice ribbon and loose tube fiber optic cables as needed or to assist field
-Provide daily forecast of splicing construction deliverables.
-Provide 24/7 management support of fiber splicing operations and cutovers.
-Complete Surveys, final QC and As-Builds in a timely fashion.
-Complete initial construction cost estimates using multiple computer programs
-Complete detailed construction field site surveys and generate final cost estimate & statement of work
-Assign work to splicers and construction crews, follow up on progress and completion
-Assure all assigned jobs are completed by firm due dates
-Respond to all projects inquires on site, in field, via e-mail & cell phone in a timely and accurate manner.
-Maintain clean and organized records
-Other responsibilities as directed by Supervision
Skills
-Must be able to navigate in and around the various streets & neighborhoods in the Philadelphia and State of NJ regions.
-Must have an understanding of aerial, underground & easement entry and access processes.
-Must have experience and the ability to splice ribbon and loose tube fiber optic cables as needed or to assist field
-Ability to organize efficient plans for restoration and emergency outages in -the field
-Must be able to read, interpret and understand fiber optic matrix & design as it pertains to FDP terminations, ring cuts, DWDM, CWDM, and other multiplexing applications.
-Must have an understanding of proper building attachments, inside wiring, BICSI, Telcordia & NEC standards
-Must be fluent at using Microsoft office, particularly MS Excel, Google maps & other proprietary software
-Must be able to work independently or in a team environment
-Must be able to communicate professionally & transparently with co-workers, utility workers & customers
-Ability and willingness to follow direction from Supervision
-Ability to work in an outdoor environment during all times of the year
-Willingness to travel and work additional hours as needed to meet Customer demands.
