Qualifications
Prior experience preferred, but will train the right candidate. Candidate should possess the following abilities: Ability to follow directions and communicate professionally. Ability to work individually and as a team. Ability to endure long periods of standing, sitting, or walking. Ability to work in an outdoor and indoor in changing seasonable climate * Willingness to travel.

Title: Field Engineer/Make Ready/Surveyor
Reports to: Engineering/Drafting Department Manager
Based at: North San Diego County and surrounding areas
Job purpose:
To survey utility poles with accurate measurements and descriptions for Make-Ready engineering.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Ensure new jobs are researched prior to departing for the field.
2. Ensure all equipment is in proper working order.
3. Ensure all safety standards and requirements are followed.
4. Ensure all measurements taken are accurate.
5. Ensure Make-Ready Walkout sheet is completed for each pole.
6. Ensure each job is completed in a timely matter (10 poles per day minimum)
7. Once jobs are completed, make ready walkout sheet completed and self quality controlled, turn job into the engineering departments office assistant.
8. Manage time accordingly to best complete the above responsibilities.
9. Ensure any additional tasks given are completed.
