2 Years Experience FOA Certification Valid Drivers License

Candidates must be able to communicate professionally with customers. Able to work independently or as part of a team. Must be able to follow direction from Project Management and read, understand and follow work orders and blueprints. You will be required to work outdoors during all times of the year. Qualified candidates should be able to lift and/or pull 100 pounds several times a day and endure long periods of standing, sitting or walking. Willing to travel or work additional hours.
Job Description
Perform duties related to installation, upgrade, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of fiber optic cable and equipment.
Prep and store fiber optic cabling to specifications
Submission of work orders to track daily production and record completed work on blueprints.
Able to work in aerial and underground conditions.
Assemble equipment according to design specifications.
Keep proper inventory on truck based on work assignments.
Proficient with equipment, including fusion splicer, cleaver, fiber prep tools, power meter, light source and OTDR.
Test, activate and troubleshoot fiber after installation.
Understand blueprints and fiber allocations.
Complete all as-built documentation.
Efficiently troubleshoot and test fiber optic network.
Operating vehicle and bucket lift safely, following all safety and traffic regulations.
Basic daily maintenance of truck - check fluids, clean and organize vehicle.
Skills:
Able to work in an outdoor environment during all times of the year
Willing to travel and work additional hours as needed
