Job Description
Telecommunications Company seeks a full time CATV Fiber Splicing Supervisor to work in
the New Hampshire/Northern MA area. Looking for a key individual to help train & develop
a team of fiber splicers, must be able to respond to & repair emergency fiber outages.
Responsible for overseeing all day to day activities of fiber splicers, including OSP & ISP on
commercial fiber installations.

Duties:
Being part of the on-call rotation until team is fully developed and functional
Prepare daily work assignments in conjunction with project due dates
Maintain quality control and compliance with contract specifications.
On-going training to maximize fiber splicer productivity
Responsible for all final fiber documentation required by customer
Responsible for workforce compliance with all safety regulations including all OSHA requirements.
Interact with customer representatives regarding work completion, and resolve conflict
when necessary.
Filing complete and accurate accident reports (Workers Compensation, Auto and General
Liability)
Review work and confirm its completion according to customer specifications.
Maintenance of field vehicles and equipment.
Responsible for controlling job costs and overall profitability.
Skills:
Solid management skills
Working knowledge of commercial fiber installation
Ability to use OTDR and other test equipment to troubleshoot outages
Ability to use fusion splicer
Understanding of technical aspects of communications construction
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Superior problem-solving skills
Ability to perform occasional heavy lifting of at least 50 lbs.
Must possess valid drivers’ license
Must have earned high-school diploma or equivalent
