Qualifications
• High School Diploma or College
• Minimum 3 year’s experience in all aspects of Aerial, Underground HFC construction.
• Knowledge to read and understand network design maps
• Knowledge of local and state construction codes
• Knowledge of splicing and activation of HFC broadband equipment
• Proficiency using MS Word and Excel
• Management/Supervisory experience in construction management, telecommunications HFC techniques and procedures

Job Description
PURPOSE:
Responsible for operational and coordination responsibilities for In-house and Subcontracted Aerial and Underground HFC construction activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Each of the functions listed below have depth which for purposes of this general description, are not listed. Essential responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Management
• Participate in or supervise the planning and construction of coaxial and fiber optic cable networks for new build, rebuild or repair.
• Obtain permits for construction, aerial and underground when required.
• Assign work to subcontractors.
• Project coordination between subcontractors and In-House Technicians
• Deliver materials to subcontractors.
• Prepare Bill of Materials. (BoM)
• Verify work-in-progress report.
• Work closely with Client personnel to achieve timely completion of assigned work.
• Field verification of all construction activities.
• Coordinate between Kanaan Communications and local power suppliers for network power.
• Prepares documentation for permits when required.
• Coordinate field activity between Kanaan Communications and other companies.
• Modify design schematics to "as built" documentation.
• Supervise Emergency repair and maintenance.
• Meet with developers, associations and home and business owners to discuss client’s plans.
• Assist Project Manager in budgeting process
• Submit reports on all construction activity, daily, weekly and monthly as required to Project Manager.
• Hold weekly safety classes and perform safety checks for In-House personnel and monitor subcontractor safety performance
• Attend training classes for new technology and safety as required.
Quality Control
• Identify, monitor and address problem areas and work to eliminate customer service/quality control issues and complaints.
• Resolve escalated customer issues quickly and in a manner that satisfies the customer; educate employees associated with the issue to resolve such issues without further escalation.
• Perform Quality Control checks and Proof of Performance for all Construction activities as well as work-in-progress.
Analysis & Documentation
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all company and customer required paperwork.
• Monitor and track employee overtime and identify and correct any inefficiency.
• Monitor completion percentage and verify all non-completed jobs
• Ensure technical services operate within approved operating and capital budgets
• Compile daily reports: job schedules and jobs completed for each project
• Monitor project results through standardized project and quality control reporting procedures
• Demonstrate standard practices for installation procedures.
