Pay
$20 to $25 per hour depending upon experience and skill set. Airfare and lodging provided. Work 60 to 70 hours per week. Time and a half after 8 or 40. Generous per diem provided where meals not included with lodging.
Qualifications
Must have 5 to 10 years experience in Cable or phone underground construction, operating equipment and locating existing utilities. Must be highly skilled with backhoe and excavator. Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record required, NO DUI or reckless driving citations in the last 5 years. No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years. Driving record and license will be checked and verified. Must have clean criminal history. Pass pre-hire drug test and be in random pool.
Other Requirements
Criminal history and credit will be checked. Credit doesn't have to be perfect but a guy has to be trying to pay his bills. Must have verifiable good references from previous employers we can find in the yellow pages. Must be willing and able to use a shovel, pull cable, and work hard at whatever task assigned. Your supervisor will. Season runs till the end of October or November. Company in business 28 years. Checks are on time, deposited in your bank every 2 week
Job Description
Verify locates. Trench to install duct, vaults, peds, coax and fiber. Restore as required. Pull cable. Understand and follow DOT and OSHA regulations. Do daily vehicle and equipment inspection and reports. Maintain equipment. Be polite to the customer and folks on the street.
