Job Description
A local communications company seeks to employ an experienced CATV Coax Splicer/Maintenance Tech. The technician must have a minimum of 5 years experience and meet the following requirements listed below.
Job Description
The CATV Coax Splicer/Maintenance Tech performs routine tasks associated with the electronic upgrade, splicing and maintenance of coaxial cable for cable television systems.
Working hours will be Monday through Friday 8-5 with optional overtime.
Job Duties
Must be experienced in all phases of coax splicing and activation including new build and maintenance.
Must have knowledge of HFC plant including aerial and underground facilities.
Must have knowledge of both digital and analog systems (including Docsis).
Must be able to troubleshoot and repair basic distribution problems associated with RF, AC, DC portions of the forward and reverse plant.
Must be able to perform routine node optimization, balancing, aligning, and adjustment of components and equipment used to amplify and process signals.

Must be clean cut and well spoken.
Must be able to communicate well with others.
Must be flexible in job duties and hours worked.
Must be self-motivated and have an internal drive.
Must be able to operate in a fast paced environment.
Must have a clean driving record.
Must have a valid NC driver's license.
Must pass a background check.
Must pass a drug screen.
