Qualifications
Qualified Sub-contractors will have at least two years experience building outside aerial fiber plant, as well as ground-hands to assist in the performance of the work. Must be able to maintain proper decorum in the field. All tools, bucket trucks, and associated equipment; with valid operators license, and general liability insurance, as well as commercial vehicle insurance.
Job Description
Install strand and fiber optic cables according to provided diagrams. Provide accurate as built diagrams for billing. Place signage before beginning any work when necessary.
• Climb utility poles, with approved OSHA belt, hooks, and other safety devices, and PPE.
• Setting of pole screw anchors using power driven anchor-setting machines.
• Tightening down guys, pole hardware, and strand using chain hoists and wrenches.
• Pulling of cable, lashing machines, and strand by hand using a rope.
• Climbing trees to do trimming of limbs with handsaws or chainsaws.
• Drilling of poles with manual or gas operated drills.
