Qualifications

The MDU Construction Coordinator role is responsible for the supervision of crews performing the placement and installation pathway associated with fiber optic wiring from the point of entry to the end users unit location. The Coordinator is responsible for the safe installation of the proposed pathway and to make sure that the work is completed with the timeframes and within the specifications outlined by our customer.

Other Requirements

Previous supervisory or leadership roles, management of multiple work crews in various locations. Attention to detail, previous experience working on electrical wiring type of installations within the hallways, attics, basements, garage locations. Previous understanding the placement and routing of telecom, electric types of utilities. Ability to conceptualize and plan the prospective routing of fiber optic routing to scale and complete all of the necessary paperwork required for each survey.

Job Description

The MDU Construction Coordinator role is responsible for the supervision of crews performing the placement and installation pathway crews associated with the fiber optic wiring from the point of entry to the end users unit location. The Coordinator is responsible for the safe installation of the proposed pathway and to make sure that the work is completed with the timeframes and within the specifications outlined by our customer. This individual will interface with both local and corporate management of NX Utilities teams and customer contact representatives. Monitor the progress of each crew compared against budgets, time requirements and productivity goals to ensure that all work on active projects are being efficiently worked and high quality work is being performed. This individual will be involved in “in-field “ problem resolution and suggestions, observations on how to get the projects completed in the most economic fashion.

The ability to operate the Microsoft family of software product Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Ability to interface with customers. Ability to work in the field utilizing hand tools mechanical equipment such as drills, core drills, pipe benders. Ability to work in the elements throughout the year. This position requires ability to lift at least 80 pounds and work in a tight spaces work off of ladders.
