Position Summary
NX Utilities currently seeks RF Designers for our Engineering Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Essential Job Functions
Designs and Drafts ISP and OSP plant on various design platforms such as- Bentley, AutoCAD, Load Data/Symplex, and SpatialNet
Designs and Drafts Greenfield /Joint Trench requests using both Node + 0 and Node + 4 design specs.
Designs and drafts construction prints, permits and support documents in various formats.
Documents as-build updates for project reconciliation.
Plans and executes Node Segmentations and Cascade Reductions as directed.
Review Design considerations for both short term and long term needs in relationship to node sizing, powering, and addressing.
Draw accurate RF and Fiber routing conclusions that reflect cost estimate for the availability request using Google Earth and Customer Records.
Perform other duties or responsibilities as required or assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma/Recognized Equivalent and minimum 2- 4 years of directly related experience required.
Strong knowledge of Cable TV RF and Metro-E Design concepts.
Spatialnet experience preferred but not required.
Design and Drafting Experience in MS Applications.
Must have good analytical reporting and analyst skills.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Working knowledge of city and map reading.
Good verbal, written and interpersonal communications.
