Qualifications
Survey tech must be able to identify ISP and OSP. Have good knowledge of NEC and construction practices / standards. Must be able to identify all telecom equipment and plant. Know how read telecom design maps and building architectural prints. Good and neat handwriting. Surveyor will propose feasible construction routes from closest OSP to termination point within commercial and residential buildings.

Job Description
Rapidly expanding Telecom Company in need of Outside Plant Surveyors in multiple markets for long term construction projects throughout the US.
Survey tech must be able to identify ISP and OSP. Have good knowledge of NEC and construction practices / standards. Must be able to identify all telecom equipment and plant. Know how read telecom design maps and building architectural prints. Good and neat handwriting. Surveyor will propose feasible construction routes from closest OSP to termination point within commercial and residential buildings. You will be meeting with customers on site to determine the best possible routes to gain entry for services. Must be able to identify and construction issues along the proposed routing, identify make ready issues and any underground issues. Able identify state ROW and understand when easements are needed. Have computer skills including Excel, Word and as all data will be transferred electronically on a daily basis.
• Project development for new Customer proposed projects
• Project Walkout expert related to project makeup
• Project research for projects to include:
• Develop site plan and images
• List of site assets
• Define labor and materials for project
• Identify permitting needs
• Infrastructure and Node or plant connection points
• Locate existing service
• Work with City, County and State to identify requirements or restrictions
• Kowledge of aerial and underground construction
• Practical knowledge of Network operations and associated inventory for both RF and Fiber networks
