Qualifications
Must be reliable. Must have extensive CATV experience with Outside and Inside plant. Must have construction and installation experience. Must have very good time management skills and have a neat, clean appearance.
Other Requirements
Must have reliable late model vehicle, valid driver's license and current auto insurance. Must be able to pass a drug screen and a background check. Tools needed will be a measuring wheel, range finders, measuring stick a plus.
Job Description
This work is primarily in the Bucks and Montgomery County areas with some Philadelphia work. Survey tech must be able to identify ISP and OSP. Must have good knowledge of NEC and construction practices / standards. Must be able to identify all CATV plant and equipment. Must know how read system prints. Must have extremely neat handwriting. Survey tech will propose feasible construction routes from closest OSP to termination point within commercial buildings. You will be meeting with customers on site to determine the best possible routes to gain entry for services. Must be able to identify and construction issues along the proposed routing, identify make ready issues and any underground issues. Must know how to ID state ROW and understand when easements are needed. Must have good computer skills. You will be transferring data electronically on a daily basis.
