Job Description
Hotwire Communications is a very fast-paced cutting edge technology company that provides triple play telecommunication services to residential and businesses customers. Hotwire clientele ranges from college students to young professionals to high level executives to retirement communities.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for quality installation practices during installation of Hotwire services including IP video, IP voice and internet. Tech Manager must have minimum of 3 years’ experience installing and testing cable, phone and internet, experience with Fiber Optic Cabling is a plus. Please do not apply if you do not have this experience. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and transportation. Candidate must be able to work overtime, nights and weekends.
• Installation and servicing of full video services, including analog, digital and IPTV. Must be proficient at using small hand tools and larger power tools. Must be comfortable working on a ladder and all heights.
• Ability to install all types of coaxial and Cat5/6 drop wire.
• Ability to install connectors on all types of coaxial and Cat5/6 drop wire.
• Ability to install customer premise equipment.
• Installing, servicing, and disconnecting telephone and internet customers.
• Ability to trouble shoot video, telephone, internet and data network problems from any telecommunications mark to customer premise equipment.
• Fiber Optic Trouble Shooting with 1490 and 1550nm.
• Ability to identify Fiber Connectors and color code.
• Ability to configure, customers computers for internet operations.
• Punch down telephone lines.
• Ability to test and tone all drop wires from equipment room to end user location.
• Must have valid driver’s license with relative clean insurance record.
• Must be able to work with or without direct supervision.
• Ensure Construction schedules are being met. Ensure construction is completed and tested prior to TCO in new construction buildings.
• Visit personally with each assigned Property Manager on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Required to make sure Hotwire collateral is printed and available at the management office. Refill material each time you visit the property. Make sure that the material being provided is sufficient for the community.
• Property Service technician is the advocate of the community within Hotwire. Property Service technician be the eyes and ears of quality of service provided at the community.

• Role has career track potential to senior tech manager or network engineer position within the market.
