Pay

Unit rates will be furnished to qualified applicants; night work for splicing nodes 1 AM - 6 AM, a good splicer can expect to make $750 to $1075 nightly. We have in house positions available as well.

Qualifications

Must be willing to submit to and pass a full background investigation and drug test; must be a fully qualified coax splicer and possess all appropriate tools including VeEx meter, .500 and .750 MC2 coring tools, bucket truck with all OSHA required safety equipment; must be experienced in forward and return balancing; must be able to climb up to 25 feet ladder and hooks; must be able to lift 75 lbs over head

Other Requirements

Proof of liability insurance, workers compensation insurance, auto insurance, lap top with wifi a plus, .500 & .750 MC2 coring tools, VEex RF meter (can be rented), digital volt meter, assorted hand tools, bucket truck, ladders (step and extension), safety equipment

Job Description

This job is a node swap one for one leg for leg job; splicer will be checking all RF and light levels at the existing node prior to start, and communicating with a head-end tech to balance forward and return return light to new node specs; after splicing node will be RF balanced forward and return to desired RF levels and return communications will be verified through the signal generator of the VEex meter (required purchase or lease); pads and equalizer values MUST be recorded for all nodes; we have available yard space for parking of trucks and a warehouse for the pickup and drop off of equipment; prints are available in paper and electronic formats
