• Commercial Driver’s License required.
• Experience with placing conduit by Direction Bore/Plow/Trench.
• Ability to perform essential functions.
• Ability to interface with field personnel, outside professional services, management, visitors and company personnel.
• Must understand and adhere to Federal and State OSHA regulations as well as Company Safety Standards as written, briefed and posted.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Develop a system for safely and efficiently running a crew.
• Plan daily work activities for construction.
• Responsible for the operation, daily maintenance checks, and inspection of cable plow or directional bore equipment to ensure working order.
• Read maps and designs of CATV construction.
• Communicate with supervisors, workers, and general public.
• Complete daily reporting on completed work.
• Ensure you have the equipment and material to complete your job.
• Familiar with local DOT requirements for working in roadways.
• Responsible for insuring locates are called in and correct before digging.
• Must understand and have knowledge of standard cable construction while working within all safety rules and regulations.
• Must be able to make field decisions when necessary and be capable of working with limited supervision.
• Able to take on and continue training new employees.
• Perform other related duties as prescribed by their supervisor.
