Qualifications
Applicants must be veteran sweep technicians with full knowledge of sweeping and balancing forward and reverse HFC networks also requires ingress suppression services. Some technical training will be provided to sweep techs on how to use JDSU’s SDA, DSAM and PathTrak to sweep, balance and suppress ingress.
Must be fully insured including General Liability and Workers Comp coverage with Prime listed as additionally insured. You must have your own OSHA compliant bucket truck, SDA-5000 or DSAM sw
Other Requirements
- Valid driver's license is required for this position
- Background Check and Drug Screen are required for this position
- Work Experience: Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working as a Sweep Tech.
- Must be able to printout and submit all sweep related documentation
- Must have coax splicing experience
Job Description
THE WORK
- Subcontractor agrees to perform the work described on the Scope of Work.
- Forward/Reverse Sweep and Balance of HFC cable television plant, including End Of Line (EOL).
- Noise Mitigation (ingress suppression) services includes the tightening of connectors, identifying and reporting bad spans of cable for replacement. Noise mitigation (ingress suppression) services also include replacing defective active and passive components that are contributing to return path ingress and disconnecting illegal subscribers as needed.
- Daytime work 7am – 4:30pm, 6 days a week limited work on Sundays
