*Previous experience with directional bore - Vermeer. *Experience running crews. *CDL preferred
Other Requirements
Due to exceptional growth, we are seeking a Directional Bore Operator and a Locator for the Bloomington and Champaign IL area as the primary location of work. Contracts nationally and travel will be required.
-Must have 2-3 years experience
-Candidates must be able to pass pre-employment testing (MVR, drug and background)
-Highly motivated individuals are desired
-Candidates should possess CDLA License
Job Description
This person is responsible for running the drill crew and is the sole responsible party for making sure the potholes are installed in the right locations clear of any obstructions and following regulations. This person must be familiar with construction terms and directing crew members. Travel is required. Currently travel is around 10-15% but expected to grow to around 75%. Work is located in Bloomington/Normal and Champaign but will expand to nationwide.
This person must be able to perform the following:
• Be able to read and comprehend blueprints
• Verify project has dig numbers
• Verify permit numbers and/or make sure there are permit numbers before dig
• Should also have in their possession who to call if they have a hit/escalation path
• Should know the set up of where they start the drill
• Make sure maintenance has been done on trucks
• Get onsite and set up drill - validate path has been Julie located
• Go through and identify the areas that need potholes
• Get pothole crew out in front to get the potholes started
• Locate drill head matches did you track - digitrack is on
• Paint every 10 feet where they are putting the drill through
