Qualifications
Class A CDL, medical card, good driving record and random drug and alcohol testing. Fiber optic underground supervision experience with the ability to safely dig around existing utilities and leading crews. Out of town travel M-F is normal. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and able to work in all weather conditions is a must. Job Description
Responsibilities Include:
• Participate in the planning and construction of fiber optic cable networks
• Coordinate projects- work closely with clients, subcontractors and staff to assure success
• Monitor safety, quality and efficiency of subcontractors and in-house crews
• Set up jobs for crews to work with minimal unexpected stoppages
• Facilitate a positive work environment, help the crews be successful
• Assist with operating drills, locators, excavators, etc. as needed
• Timely decisions made based on Company values and Customer needs, good judgment on when to escalate decisions
• Work with permitting agencies to obtain permits
• Call in locates
• Prepare and confirm redline quantities
• Assign work and supply materials to subcontractors
• Verify work in progress- adjust plan to achieve goals as needed meet timelines and assure efficient completion of assigned work
• Field verification of all construction activities
