Job Description
We are currently hiring entry-level as well as journeyman positions for Installation and Service technicians to work in the Kansas City, Missouri and surrounding areas.
Detailed Job Description: Installation and Service Technician
Job Purpose: New service fiber optics installation
Job Duties:
Install new services to designated customers in predetermined locations to specification and standard as directed.
Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.
Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records as directed.
Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities provided; reading professional publications.
Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Job Requirements:
Must have reliable vehicle, (Preferably pickup or van)
Able to work well in a fast paced, goal oriented environment.
Meet predefined goals and targets consistently.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Must be computer literate and have great customer skills.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Must be dependable, reliable and trustworthy team players.
Must possess strong work ethic and have high standards of delivery
Must have, or be able to acquire prior to employment, basic tools such as, cordless hammer drill, screwdrivers, 4-6 foot ladder, etc.
Skills/Qualifications: Electronics Troubleshooting, Analyzing Information , Judgment, Client Relationships, Equipment Maintenance, Reporting Skills, Confidentiality, Quality Focus, Results Driven, Supply Management, Informing Others. Experience in wiring houses for cable, satellite, or alarms, installing home theater systems are all pluses that will be considered.
