$34,560 - $42,240 Per Year DOE; company pays 1/2 employee's health, vision, and dental, and company matches contribution to 401k plan. We generally work 4x10's, but some OT and Emergency situtations do occur.
Qualifications
Must show demonstratable experience with cable/case/tray/panel prep, strand counts, labeling, single and ribbon fusion machines, OTDRs, light meters, light sources, troubleshooting, and trace reporting software.
Other Requirements
CDL, OSHA, MSHA, Bucket and Lineman certs are a plus.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, fiber optic splicer/technician, for ongoing work in Colorado. Our headquarters is in Montrose, Colorado, and we primarily serve the Western Slope.
The ideal candidate would be a motivated, organized, self starter, and have 5 years experience in the field, having worked in telco, campus, and municipal networks.
The fiber splicer would be willing to pull in drops and other short sections of cable, make building penetrations, mount nids, etc. as needed and in addition to their regular duties.
We have been locally in business since 2002, have a great clientelle, and stay very busy on the Western Slope. We offer competitive pay, health insurance, and IRA/401K.
We provide a company truck to/from the shop, company credit card for job expenses and fuel, per diem for overnight work, and handle all lodging while on the road in advance from our front office.
