Pay is W-2 hourly based on billable piece work performed usually averaging $500 - $800 per week with additional incentives for technicians that meet certain performance metrics. Some technicians make more & some make less dependent on work completed.
Qualifications
Must genuinely enjoy helping people, problem solving, learning new things, work well with their heads as well as their hands, & take pride in their work. Also requires a valid driver's license & ability to pass drug & background checks (No criminal misdemeanors within 3 yrs & no felonies within 7 yrs). Experience with cable/satellite installation/service as well as home theatre, security systems, & basic computer & internet connected device troubleshooting a plus. Will train qualified candidate.
Other Requirements
Work van & fuel card provided (Though strictly monitored via GPS & online fueling reports). Applicable specialized tools such as a 28 ft ladder, testing equipment, & safety equipment will be given to technician as an advance & deposit payroll deducted over time but all other basic tools (Including reliable 18v cordless hammer drill with spare battery are the responsibility of the technician to provide before starting. Growing company looking for intelligent, dedicated, & detail oriented field technicians to support both residential & commercial video/telephony/data customer's in the Akron/Canton area as well as areas throughout Northeast Ohio immediately.

Candidates must genuinely enjoy helping people, problem solving, learning new things, work well with their heads as well as their hands, and take pride in their work. Additional requirements are a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a drug screening & background check (No criminal misdemeanors within 3 years and no felonies within 7 years).
Previous working experience with cable/satellite installation & support as well as home theatre, security systems, and basic computer and internet connected device troubleshooting a plus but not required. Will provide paid training for qualified candidates.
Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule and work in all weather conditions. The ability to carry an up to 75 lb fiberglass ladder and be comfortable climbing to heights up to 32ft is also required.

In this industry it is key to be smart & detail oriented when doing your work as well as efficient in order to complete as much work in the time allotted as possible allowing you to maximize your pay. One week of paid vacation time available after one year of service with the company.

Since working with technology is core to our business all technicians must also carry a laptop, be able to send/receive e-mail/attachments, and understand/be able to do basic work with Microsoft Office products such as Word & Excel which are basic to the reporting we use for billing, quality assurance, and other performance tracking. If you don't have a laptop we can provide one at cost ($125 to $150). We are a technology and communications company so this is key.
An Android smartphone or tablet is also required to receive, complete, and bill for work. Verizon Commando's with push to talk will be provided at cost ($50 per month) if technicians do not have their own. A separate mobile phone encouraged for occasional questions and troubleshooting while on-site.
