* Experience in RF and video/satellite technologies
* Experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining HDTV, QAM, Analog, and DirecTV Commercial series
* Experience configuring LAN/WAN networks
* Experience with making cat5 and coax cables
* Excellent communication skills
* Familiarity with CAT5, Fiber Optics and video concepts and topologies
Job Description
Would you like a unique opportunity to work with a "Triple Play" service provider? Pavlov Media provides services to MDU apartment complexes, businesses and housing communities servicing properties in over 35+ states. Pavlov custom builds our data, video, and phone systems to cater to the customers' needs. We are seeking individuals to join our team as an entry level technician, working independently installing and servicing Pavlov Media properties in the Greensboro and Raleigh area.
The role of the Regional Field Technician is to provide customer support and technical services as needed to clients at our MDU properties. A typical day for a regional field technician is to start out at company headquarters to pick up inventory, daily routes, and report in to manager. Throughout the day the technician will be installing Dish Network and DirecTV receivers in customer units along with installing modems, connecting Ethernet in closets or assisting with site outages. Due to the nature of the technologies that our company uses, the field technician must be a quick learner and eager to expand technical knowledge.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
* Work trouble work orders in accordance with Field Operations policies and procedures; upon completion or upon request, communicates status of work orders to Technical Support team. This will mostly consist of satellite receiver installations, network installs, and trouble calls.
* Assist NOC to resolve property tickets/outages within SLA
* Resolves or escalates site issues or questions within the established and acceptable timeframe
* Maintains ownership of issues and follows through on all customer issues until those issues are properly closed.
* Responds to telephone calls and emails within the established response standard
* Maintains inventory of company vehicle
* Maintains all company provided tools thus resulting in good operating equipment
