Job Title: Direct Sales Trainer
Area: Lake Havasu City, AZ-West Region
Classification: Full Time/Benefited/Exempt

JOB SUMMARY
Develops and implements effective sales training programs for all Market Specialists. Works in conjunction with management to increase the sales skill levels of new and current employees. The sales trainer will be responsible in developing and delivering training modules related to direct sales agents, sales soft skills and interpersonal skills training. The sales trainer will serve as a subject matter expert for sales training and sales process and systems. The sales trainer should have technical/ professional knowledge of business for independent management of responsibilities and tasks.

ILLUSTRATIVE ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Confers with management and staff to determine training objectives
• Conduct training needs analysis of each Market Specialists using focus groups, performance data, interviews and shadowing
• Develop and implement ongoing sales training program to further develop current employees
• Schedules classes based on classroom availability
• Work with all areas to identify training needs stemming from new or revised policies/procedures
• Deliver new hire orientation content and materials
• Design, develop and distribute formal training tools such as standard operating procedures, reference guides, quick reference cards and other end-user documentation
• Work with market and system management to ensure training approach meets development needs and the training method fits within the practical framework of the day-to-day business
• Develop and implement a consistent approach/format for new hire training, including transferring knowledge of sales lead planning
• Determine training effectiveness evaluation criteria and data gathering/tracking methods
• Observes trainees on an individual basis in a field setting to deliver additional training
• Administers written or computer-based and practical exams and writes performance reports to evaluate trainees' performance
• Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain useful information and integrates information into training program
• Identify subject matter experts within organization to conduct key operational training
• Demonstrates a strong ability to transfer knowledge to direct sales agents regarding openings, closings, and the ability to overcome objections
Position Requirements: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Ability to communicate effectively and patiently with a wide range of personalities and abilities
• Organization skills a must
• Must be able to present information in a professional and knowledgeable manner
• Must be accessible to all employees
• Must be able to travel up to 80%
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid driver’s license with driving record meeting minimum company standards
• Working knowledge of Windows-based PCs
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrated ability to make professional presentations and facilitate group processes successfully
• Demonstrated expertise and experience in areas of instruction
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional service to internal customers
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative with regard to work and challenges
• Demonstrated ability to work with little supervision
WORK EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of three years door to door sales
• Door to door sales experience or equivalent sales/sales training experience.
• A minimum of three years training and coaching experience
• Experience in the broadband communications industry preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Ability to work in climate-controlled areas
