Qualifications
Must have aerial and UG construction knowledge. Must be able to identify CATV equipment, read system prints. Must be able to strand map, understand guying. Must have good computer skills and be able to work with Excel and Word programs. Work is internet driven. Neat, clean appearance is a must. Must have good time management skills and be self driven. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Other Requirements
Footage measuring wheel, range finder, measuring stick a plus, reliable vehicle, current auto insurance and a valid driver's license. GPS is recommended.
Job Description
Survey tech is responsible for determining the most efficient path from outside plant to termination point at each commercial location. You will be meeting customers on site to gather pertinent construction information such as cable routing, make-ready issues, permit and easement issues, etc. You must be able to identify all OSP and any potential construction issues to job site. Neat writing is required. Templates are used for all of our projects, no exceptions. Must be able to draw a legible map with clear and concise construction notes.You will pull work from internet driven site and download completed product and all info at the end of the day on same internet site. These are time sensitive. All work must be completed on a daily basis. Must be able to use the internet, WORD and EXCEL programs. This is long term work. We have plenty of work for the right people.
