Qualifications
At least 5 years of fiber optic splicing, testing and troubleshooting experience.• High school diploma / GED • Splicing experience to include: Ring cuts, FTTX, Ribbon & Mech. splicing, relocates, Hot cuts, Terminations, Audits, CWDM, MUX, Cell tower 1RU, CATV Node installation and splits •Testing Experience to include: OTDR(including CWDM/MUX testing),Traffic Identifier, Power meter, Fujikura Fusion splicers (FSM 50S and 60R)
Other Requirements
Clean driving record and background/drug test. Able to work both night and day shifts as required. Be able to be on-call and respond to customer outages. Working knowledge of OSP fiber construction practices (be able to work at height in a bucket) Exp. w/ computer software: MS Office Programs (Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and EXFO OTDR software• Must be able to write and speak clear English• Must have current driver’s license

This is a full-time supervisory position. We are growing our current operation and require an additional fiber splicing supervisor. The primary job function will be to interact with customer representatives to review upcoming projects and to manage fiber splicing resources to successfully complete projects on time and as ordered. Respond to service outages and coordinate repairs and restoration with our construction department.
>Coordinate and meet project schedules.
>Insure good quality field and office work.
>Technical documentation compliance and submittal.
>Review fiber splicers daily work reports for accuracy. Process those reports into as built documentation to submit to customer
>Must have excellent customer skills with existing and new clients.
>Must be willing to work in field as needed.
>Be in the field with fiber splicers as required
>Train new fiber splicers
>Able to be on call and respond to emergencies. (60 min response time)
>Must be familiar with OSHA and facilitate Safety meetings.
>There will be days where you will need to work long hours or split shifts due to scheduled projects and outage response.
>Flexible schedule based on daily/weekly work loads.
