Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision the Suddenlink Construction Coordinator I plans and supports proposed sites for system construction or upgrade. Interfaces with the regional engineering office, operations managers and contract personnel to enable the timely delivery of new services to potential customers.

ILLUSTRATIVE ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding Suddenlink’s values
• Assists in the creation of strand maps and as-built maps to arrange for system design and permitting
• Prepares and submits scope for utility markings
• Ensures applications, permits and easements are obtained, accurately completed and submitted to the appropriate entities
• Maintains inventory and reconciles unused materials from contractors at project completion
• Partners in the verification of proposed designs to create bills of material
• Participates in budget preparation
• Orders and tracks materials for projects in coordination with engineering personnel
• Issues work and supervise contract personnel to resolve site complaints
• Coordinates turn on and sweep with plant managers
• Provides homes passed data to marketing department
• Verifies the qualification and acceptance of plant for invoices
• Provides assistance with regional projects as directed
• Resolves or escalates customer complaints
• Plans daily activity, requisitions equipment and supplies and stocks vehicle
• Completes job documentation on paper or by using a computer
• Maintains and secures Company truck and equipment
• Develops a timetable for implementation, implements, monitors and analyzes results to accomplish specific project objectives.
• Tracks and provides detailed communications to appropriate team members and managers regarding the progress, accountabilities and gaps in the progress of assigned projects or deployments.
• Coordinates across functional groups to ensure that milestones and deliverables are met.
• Communicates and represents the market on conference calls and project meetings.
• Works on regularly scheduled days as well as unscheduled days and beyond regular work hours as required
• Performs other duties as assigned


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and at night, when necessary.
• Hand and finger dexterity to carry and use tools and equipment.
• Ability to work in tight spaces such as crawl spaces and attics.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and crawl.
• Ability to communicate in person, in writing, and by telephone.
• Vision acuity required to read maps, complete documentation, and inspect, install, and repair materials and equipment.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to frequently use repetitive motion, speak, hear, walk, stand and lift and balance at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to drive Suddenlink vehicle in a safe and responsible manner

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Appropriate valid driver’s license and driving record within Suddenlink standards
• Bi-lingual proficiency preferred in some locations

WORK EXPERIENCE
• Project management
• Experience in aerial and underground utility construction preferred
• Experience in cable technical operations preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Exposure to dust, dirt, noise, insects, cleaning solutions
• Work, including travel, outdoors in adverse weather conditions day or night.
• Exposure to typical office environment
• Ability to work in climate-controlled areas
