Only local candidates will be considered. Prior experience, a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent required and be authorized to work in the U.S. EOE.

Ability to work independently or in a team environment &communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners and customers
Ability to climb telephone poles daily, approx. 20' in height
Ability to lift and/or pull 100 pounds several times each day
Ability to endure long periods of standing, sitting, or walking
Ability to work in an outdoor environment during all times of the year
Willingness to travel and work additional hours as need

Telecommunications Company seeks a full time CATV Fiber Optic Splicer to work in the Michigan area. Duties Include :
To perform tasks associated with the electronic upgrade and splicing Fiber Optical telecommunication systems.
Maintain proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignment
Assemble equipment according to design specifications
Prep, Dress, Store fiber optic cabling to specifications
Arrive at location, and install equipment on pole, or in pedestal, using various hand tools
Operate tools and test equipment, including Fusion splicer, cleaver, fiber prep tools, OTDR
Test, activate, and troubleshoot fiber links after installation
Complete all as-built documentation
Operate vehicle and bucket lift safely, following all safety and traffic regulations
Able to read, interpret and understand fiber optic matrix and build to design
Basic daily maintenance of provided vehicle- check fluids, clean and organize vehicle
Prepare paperwork to track daily production, and accurately record completed work on job site blueprints
