Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field; MBA preferred
• 5+ years business background involving operations and engineering demonstrating progressive leadership positions
• Appropriate valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Assist in the development of CMTS and cable modem configurations and
support requirements.
Other Requirements
• Preferred knowledge of GePON
• Preferred knowledge, AtTask project management software
• Knowledge of SONET networks preferred
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN, ATM, SNMP via UDP/IP and router technology preferred
• Preferred - Knowledge PRI/T1/LAN/WAN/CWDM/DWDM/SONET/Wireless technologies.

Director of Operations Engineering
Suddenlink Communications is the 7th largest provider of broadband cable, internet, phone and security services in a multi-state environment. We are currently seeking a Director of Operations Engineering to support our Texas and Oklahoma markets. This position requires cable gurus with the following experience:
• Preferred knowledge of GePON
• Preferred knowledge, AtTask project management software
• Knowledge of SONET networks preferred
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN, ATM, SNMP via UDP/IP and router technology preferred
• Preferred - Knowledge PRI/T1/LAN/WAN/CWDM/DWDM/SONET/Wireless technologies.
• Preferred knowledge of standard committee specifications such as the ITU-T Y.1564, IETF RFC2544, and IEEE 802.1x, understanding of the OSI model, SONET, Ethernet, network topologies such as FDDI, routing and switching concepts, SNMP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, RIPv2, PIM SSM, STP, VTP, PRI, SIP, NAT, DOCSIS, IPv4 and IPv6, PON, working knowledge of layer two and three network topologies and general network concepts equivalent to NET+, CCNA
