Qualifications
• Must comply with CCI’s Code of Conduct.
• Must maintain proper decorum in the field.
• Must understand and adhere to Federal and State OSHA regulations as well as Company Safety Standards as written, briefed, and posted.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to load and unload reels of cable and strand onto and off of trailers with help from other crewmembers.
• Must be qualified to operate motor vehicles and obtain driver’s license with appropriate upgrade.

Job Description
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Develop a system for safely and efficiently running a crew.
• Read maps and designs of CATV construction.
• Climb utility poles with approved safety equipment and procedures.
• Communicate with supervisors, workers, and general public.
• Complete daily reporting on completed work, marking wall maps with appropriate color.
• Plan daily work activities for construction.
• Ensure you have the equipment and material to complete your job.
• Familiar with local DOT requirements for working in roadways.
• Set pole screw anchors using power driven anchor-setting machines.
• Tighten down guys, hardware, and strand using hoists and wrenches.
• Pull cable, use lashing machines, and strand by hand using a rope. Climb trees to do trimming of limbs with handsaws.
• Anchor and ground rod policy.
• Responsible for clean and regular maintenance of trucks as well as daily inspections.
• Drill poles with manual or gas operated drills.
• Install, remove, and maintain cable systems.
• Load/unload cable reels and seals cable.
• Ride out work prior to and after completion.
• Able to take on and continue training new employees.
• Carry listing of emergency phone numbers.
• Perform other related duties as prescribed by their supervisor
