Job Description
Established CATV/Telecom Company is looking for experienced installation technicians. Qualified candidates must have Experienced Voice, Data and Video installation experience. Good customer service skills, reliable transportation, (OWN truck and tools), and clean criminal & driving history. Previous Cable TV or Satellite TV installation experience is a MUST, experience with fiber a plus. Will train qualified installers on installation & repair of voice, data, video & fiber optic system.
Must be able to operate signal level meters, volt ohm meter, leak detection devices and all other test equipment. Excellent opportunity for the right individuals to contribute to our expansion in Southern California.
Requirements:
This position will be required to perform the following tasks:
•To provide the cable subscriber with the best possible installation, while maintaining all system specifications, and procedures.
•Operate vehicles, hand tools, power tools, 28 ft ladder, 6 ft ladder, televisions, signal level meters, volt meters, converters, cable locators, leakage detection devices, test equipment.
•Completes required paperwork and data entire: including installation Work Orders, timesheets, service orders, vehicle inspection/inventory report, others.
•Maintains a clean and organized vehicle/equipment and executes all work in the safest possible manner.
•Provides the subscriber with the best customer service, and promotes a good relationship between the subscriber and the service provider.
•Must convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company's products and services to our customers.
•Assists other Technical personnel in the performance of their duties
•Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
•Valid CA Driver's License.
•Professional truck, van or SUV with ladder racks to carry ladders.
•Tools to include: 6 ft & 28 ft Fiberglass ladder with V-Rung and Hooks, Butt Set,
Coax Toner Tester, Compression tool for 59.6.11 type connectors, Cable Cutters 9" lineman pliers, Corning cable prep tool for RG59/RG6 type coax, 7/16 Torque wrench, Pushrod kit (glow rods), 6" wall board saw, Stud sensor, Tape measure, Cat5 Cable tester, RJ45 Crimper, Can wrench, Magna pull, Krone Punch down tool & blade, 4-18" Safety Cones, Safety Vest, Utility Knife, Pliers 6", Needle nose pliers 6", Phillips screw driver, standard screw driver, drill, & drill Bits.
•Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
•Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, be able to climb a ladder, crawl in tight spaces, and lift up to 80 lbs.
•Must be willing to travel to complete work orders.
