Qualifications
Only local candidates will be considered. Prior experience preferred , but will train the right candidate. A valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent required and be authorized to work in the U.S. EOE.

Job Description
Communications Construction Group is a full service company - equipped, staffed, and experienced in all phases of Cable Television Construction, from initial consultation and preliminary planning through construction of distribution plant, installations, and final proof-of-performance testing.
Telecommunications Company seeks a full time CATV Crew for aerial cable tv work in Lynchburg, Blacksburg, Staunton, and Martinsville area. Foreman, Splicer and Lineman needed either as subcontract work or in house. Prefered experience, but will train the right candidate.
Foreman:
•Knowledge of utility right of way’s to interpret daily work assignment
•Ability to read design prints
•Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners, and customers
•Install telephone and CATV conduit
•Ability to understand and read utility locate markings
•Responsible as the leader of a crew
•Responsible to fill out daily production reports
•Other responsibilities as directed by Supervision
Coax Splicer:
To perform tasks associated with the electronic upgrade and splicing of coaxial cable for cable television systems.
Maintain proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignment
Assemble equipment according to design specifications
Arrive at location, and install equipment on pole, or in pedestal, using various hand tools
Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation
Operate vehicle and bucket lift safely, following all safety and traffic regulations
Basic daily maintenance of provided vehicle- check fluids, clean and organize vehicle
Prepare paperwork to track daily production, and accurately record completed work on job site blueprints
Other responsibilities as directed by Supervision
Aerial Lineperson:
•Maintain proper inventory on vehicle based work assignment
•Throw 1-2 lb. weighted rope over elevated cable line & tree branches
•Pull lashing equipment down cable lines to secure wires
•Use pounding equipment to install grounding rods and anchors into ground
•Read blueprints to interpret daily work assignment
•Operate vehicle & bucket lift safely, following all safety & traffic regulations
Skills
•Ability to follow directions and communicate professionally
.Ability to work independently or in a team environment &communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners and customers
•Ability to work individually and as a team
•Ability to climb numerous poles daily
.Ability to lift and/or pull 100 pounds several times each day
•Ability to endure long periods of standing, sitting, or walking
•Ability to work in an outdoor and indoor in changing seasonable climate
•Willingness to travel and work additional hours as needed to meet Customer demands
