Summary
Lead and/or participate in Quality Assurance Testing efforts in IMS/SIP projects. Develop Test Strategies and Test Plans working with cross functional teams and development and business customers. Write status reports, defects and participate in defect review meetings. The IMS and SIP programs are critical to the Digital Voice offering as all existing 9 million CDV subscribers will be migrated to the IMS/SIP technology within the next 12 – 18 months.
This position requires:
•Working knowledge of quality assurance processes including test scope and strategy, test program management, test tools and automation, performance testing, and defect management
•Working knowledge of IMS and SIP technology, products, and complex IMS/SIP based networks, and strong knowledge of TCP/IP, SS7, and Call Routing
•Working knowledge of complex IP routing technologies, OSPF, MPLS
•Ability to identify and define quality assurance process enhancements
•Ability to understand projects from a holistic view and be able to plan for such efforts by leading engineering staff and performing test platform design
•Demonstrated ability to work with various teams and resolve technical issue to achieve project-testing goals.
•Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment.
•Excellent problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills
•Ability to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment
•Working Knowledge in Juniper Switch
Core Responsibilities
•Responsibility the planning and successful completion of IMS and SIP testing efforts, leading efforts where necessary
•Interact with all necessary Product Development and QA teams to achieve testing objectives.
•Participate in the support of troubleshooting/replication/RCA of Production defects
•Develop test scope and test strategy based on requirements provided by Product Engineering and Suppliers in both Agile and Waterfall models
•Interfaces with various Project Managers on multiple programs for scheduling test timelines
•Documentation of testing results and recommendations in HPQC
•Participate in efforts to identify and develop continuous quality process, efficiency, and workload capacity improvements. Provides technical leadership and consultation with regards to test philosophies and methodologies, practices, procedures, and techniques
•Work with supporting teams to identify and implement automation opportunities
