This full time position is for long term work. The individual will be placed on payroll and be paid per hour. The starting pay will be based on the individual's past experience.
Qualifications
The following is a list of requirements for this position: A driver's license (a CDL is not required but is preferred), experience with both aerial and underground utility construction, experience using a ditch witch, as well as the ability to pass both a drug test and background check.
Job Description
Orange County Utility Maintenance, LLC specializes in all phases of aerial and underground cable construction. It is owned and operated by Michael K Marse who has had a career in the cable tv industry since 1974 and has worked throughout the United States building cable systems. Mr. Marse formed OCUM in 2006, and it is based out of Montgomery, Orange County, New York. The company currently holds a contract with Comcast to install, remove, and replace cable lines in Dutchess, Putnam, and Westchester Counties of New York State.
OCUM is now looking to expand the company and is currently in search for an experienced foreman to run a crew. This person must be reliable and show up for work every day. He must not only be a hard worker but also be able to work well with other crew members in order to complete projects on time. He must be able to lead other crew members as well as delegate responsibilities and tasks. This individual will be responsible for the time management of project completions as well as be in charge of critical decision making on the job. Most importantly, we are looking for someone with good character and who will be trusted to represent the company on project sites.
