Qualifications
Must be experienced. Have a vast knowledge of aerial and underground construction skills and procedures. Must be able to identify the size and type of communication lines and power conductor lines. Must have strong make ready skills and computer skills.
Other Requirements
Must have reliable vehicle, a current drivers license, auto insurance, GL insurance, WC insurance and FEIN for 1099. Will need a measuring wheel, measuring stick, cell phone, digital camera and a computer. Will need to pass a background check and drug screening (no cost to you). Training will be provided prior to being issued work.
Job Description
Duties will include performing make ready engineering on existing utility poles for a proposed over lash of fiber optic and coax cable to existing MSO facilities. Also, will need to engineer new attachment for fiber and coax cables to existing utility poles. Will need to take measurements of all the existing power conductors and communication lines. Take 5-6 pictures of utility poles and document all the existing down guys and anchors on the existing utility poles.
