Qualifications
Proficient with Fujikura 50S & 60 S fusion splicers. Ability to troubleshoot problems and outages. Use of power meter, OTDR, light identifier and light source. Outside plant splice case installations. Inside plant FTP installations. Delashing and relashing splice cases. Manhole and vault entry.
Other Requirements
Operation of bucket truck and/or ladder. Knowledge of lasher. Good driving record. Must pass pre-employment drug screen. Willingness to work all shifts as required for fiber splicing. Must respond to emergencies in a timely manner. Willing to travel as needed (typically within 100 mile radius. Must be able to meet customer deadlines. Job Description
Perform work on new and existing fiber as required. Work with lit fibers in active splice cases. Splicing in new node tails. Mounting of new FTP's and outside plant splice cases. Emergency response as needed. Other duties assigned as needed.
