Due to exceptional growth, NX Utilities LLC is seeking a Full Time Engineering/Drafting in the Tampa area.
Position Description:
NX Utilities currently seeks Designers and Drafters for our Engineering Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Essential Job Functions
Designs and Drafts ISP and OSP plant on a differing electronic media - Bentley, AutoCAD, SpatialNet
Strong Spatial/GIS ability in applications such as SpatialNet, MapInfo, ArcGIS, and Google Earth.
Understanding of Fiber Design specifications from various architectural formats that range from differing vendors along differing concepts including splicing documentation.
Designs and drafts bore profiles, vertical details for ISP design, construction prints, permits and support documents in various formats.
Documents as-build updates for project reconciliation.
Review Design considerations for both short term and long term needs in relationship to node sizing, hub sizing, powering, and addressing.
Draw accurate routing conclusions that reflect cost estimate for the availability request.
Ability to multitask and work on fast paced environment with dynamic service providers
Perform other duties or responsibilities as required or assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma
Minimum 2 - 4 years of directly related experience preferred.
Design and Drafting Experience and MS Applications.
Must have good analytical reporting and analyst skills.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Working knowledge of city and map reading.
Good verbal, written and interpersonal communications.
Knowledge of cable TV and Fiber design.
