Job Description
A major telecommunications company currently has an opening for a Project Manager in the Miami, FL area. The Project Manager is responsible for end to end implementation of fully executed service agreements in the assigned market. The Project Manager is also required to assist the Regional Director with deploying Company initiatives. The Project Manager is a matrix line management position with direct accountability over project and responsibility for staff assigned to the project meeting objectives without having direct authority. Therefore it is highly important for them to have outstanding motivational, leadership, and team building skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Show a proven track record of growth and profitability in previous positions, as well as meet or exceed goals set with management
•Manages all assigned projects to completion ensuring on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands, and maintaining overall project ownership
•Promotes safety awareness (and OSHA regulations) with technicians in order to provide a work environment free from injury
•Administers policies, procedures, and tracking in order to facilitate continuous improvement
•Reviews and analyzes forecasts and recommends changes when appropriate. Updates forecasts for new developments to provide management with a current perspective of the business
•Responsible for maintaining department budgets, completing reports on a timely basis, and monitoring and controlling expenses
•Provides training and education to Supervisors, exempt, and non-exempt employees on metrics and tools to improve financial performance
•Enhance and enrich Associates’ technical knowledge and skill levels to ensure excellence with respect to service reliability and picture quality
•Have a proven ability to hire, train, coach and motivate staff
•Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment. This includes goal setting, production, budgeting, efficiently solving issues with customers, technician scheduling and morale
•Show exemplary customer service to customers, corporate leadership, subordinate supervisors and technicians, ability to instill technicians with professional, customer service driven attitude
•Acts as a single point of contact for project status. Maintains communication with Corporate Leaders
•Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
•Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements

•Technical experience in cable television, broadband telecommunications network, and fiber optic experience required
•Minimum 5 years field supervisor/management experience in Cable TV and Broadband telecommunications required
•Ability to read, understand and follow written procedures
•Excellent ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
•Must be able to frequently lift 70 lbs, climb heights and work in attics & crawl spaces
•Candidates must be able to pass pre-employment testing (MVR, drug and background)
•Valid driver's license
•Must possess strong leadership, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
•Must possess strong problem solving, decision making, analytical skills and organizational skills
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
