Pay
Per Survey/Piece Rate/Production. Incentives/Bonuses for the ones who display integrity and top notch product. 30 day payout, NO retainage.
Qualifications
Must be experienced, willingness to learn, integrity, self motivated and flexible. Have a vast knowledge of aerial and underground construction skills and procedures. OSP and ISP knowledge and the basic understanding of plant design. Knowledge of fiber/coax distribution and service drop feed design. Have strong mapping skills and computer skills.
Other Requirements
Must have a reliable vehicle, current driver's license, auto insurance, general liability insurance and federal ID number for 1099. Will need a measuring wheel, locator, cell phone, digital camera, computer and basic tools for access to peds, vaults, etc... Will need to pass a back ground check and drug screening. Training will be provided prior to being issued individual work.
Job Description
Seeking individuals who are WANTING to work and provide accurate construction surveys to potential business customers for local CATV company. Will need the most accurate and cost effective route (and potential alternate routes)to the customer(s). Surveyor will need to have a strong CATV back ground (aerial & underground), strong drawing skills that is neat and legible. Be able to strand map, able to identify any potential construction issues, able to identify if a permit is needed (state or local, be able to recognize if any easement is needed for construction, any make ready issues that may be required to build, find adequate demarcation points and have strong computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, etc...
Surveys will consist of; Pulling the survey request's off of electronic queue, calling customers to schedule time for access and survey, meeting the customer on site, identifying CATV plant, showing the correct potential routing from OSP to MPOE, show all inside routing (existing and proposed), show demarcation point, provide detailed construction notes, fill out online data sheet(s), scan surveys and input into the electronic queue.
