Must have extensive knowledge of aerial and underground construction practices and procedures. Must be able to ID all CATV OSP and ISP equipment. Knowledge in Make-Ready engineering and state permits a plus. Strong mapping skills required. Neat and clean appearance a must.

Must have a reliable vehicle, current driver's license, auto insurance, footage wheel. Hot Stick and range finder not required but recommended.

We are looking for someone who will be able to provide an accurate construction survey from CATV plant to the requesting customer's property. We need the most accurate and cost effective route to provide services to customer. Qualified surveyor will need to have a solid CATV background (aerial and UG), very strong drawing skills with neat, legible handwriting, use a template for all drawings, be able to accurately strand map, understand all forms of guying, be able to identify any potential construction issues whether it's aerial or UG construction, must have good knowledge of the NESC, must have ability to identify if a permit is needed (state or local), must be able to discern if an easement is needed for construction, must be able to identify if make-ready work is required to build, must be able to ID a proper ground, must be able to find adequate demarcation points, must understand HSI, CDV, PRI, and have strong computer skills with knowledge of EXCEL, WORD, etc.

Survey will include: pulling survey off of electronic queue every day, calling customer to schedule time for access and survey, meeting customer on site, identifying CATV plant, showing correct, accurate routing from OSP to building on your map, show all inside wiring (existing and new), show demarcation point, give detailed construction notes of how and where to build CATV services, use template to draw all maps, fill out online data sheet, scan survey map, attach to electronic queue.
