Successful candidate will have associates or bachelors degree in business or construction management.Five to seven years of solid project management experience in utility construction.Has 5 Years of Telecommunications professional services experience.Highly effective oral and written communicator.Proficient with Telecom Industry and project deployment practice.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; prioritize and monitor engineering and operations tasks.Large Project Experience Pref

Experience with fiber infrastructure construction is required with 10-15 years of experience preferred.Past work experience in fiber optic cable installation and construction is preferred.Has experience managing the day-to-day operations of a functional group or acting as a team or project lead.Proven ability to establish and nurture a strong team environment.Detail and goal oriented.Ability to build and develop a group with a team approach.

We are currently seeking a Director of Project Operations for our Construction Department. This position is responsible for the management of our OSP Construction department and will oversee all of our fiber plant construction operations at various jobsites around the country. We are looking for someone with a strong background in utility construction and experience managing large fiber builds. We have grown our fiber construction department exponentially over the last 5 years and are seeking an exceptional individual to oversee the operations of this part of the company. This is a full time long term position with lots of opportunity for growth.

-Provide vision, direction and management to existing and future employees and contractors
-Motivate, mentor and provide direction to field management team
-Ability to analyze projects to track costs and improve processes
-Prepare and ensure that project goals are met on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
-Ability to investigate project cost variances
-Ensuring efficient processes are in place
-Ensure projects are completed on time
-Ensure all project goals are met
-Communicates key milestones, issues and project status.
-Resolves issues affecting projects scope, quality, effort, risk, and timeline
-Creates and manages contingency plans for the projects
-Reviews and provides feedback on projects deliverables (product requirements, functional specifications, etc.)
-Ability to manage multiple projects in various locations from ramp up to successful on time/on budget completion
-Implement procedures of all work reporting, asbuilts, inventory, quality control and asset maintenance
-Ability to create a project plan with marked deliverables and ensure the successful completion of that plan
