Job Description
A Leading telecommunications utility contractor is looking for a experienced lineman. If you have a valid license, have work experience as a lineman and can pass a background check to include drug, criminal, and department of motor vehicle (CDL a Plus), then we have a job for you!
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Placement of poles, and anchors for installation of aerial cable.
Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in using mechanized equipment such as bucket truck, digger derrick, and manual equipment such as shovels and post hole diggers to set poles along right of ways.
Setting up safety perimeter using; signage, cones,safety barriers, and flagging traffic.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid condition; moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat and vibration. The employee is regularly exposed to high (25-60) precarious places, and the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. EOE
