Job Description
Wave Broadband is now hiring a Plant Manager for our Port Orchard, WA system. The Plant Manager will be responsible for providing direction and leadership to the system’s technical department while maintaining system integrity and overseeing operations of construction, dispatch, installations, service maintenance, warehousing, engineering for existing system, purchasing, budgeting, staff development, business plan development, deployment of new products, and assisting with capital projects.
Responsibilities:
• Direct the daily operation of installation, service, construction, and materials management to successful achievement of company objectives
• Responsible for system compliance to NCTA, FCC regulations and company minimum operating specifications. Participate in the development of procedures and practices within relevant departments
• Ensure that all required federal and company reports are completed accurately and submitted timely
Ensure operations, performance and quality of the cable system and its components to assure operational efficiencies. Resolve all quality problems
• Manage system performance, maintenance procedures and technical practices; assure same day and 1st call resolution
• Create and manage capital related projects that include scope of work, purchase orders, invoice approval, and documentation of variances
• Prepare budgets for technical departments and remain responsible for implementation and control of approved budgets
• Coordinate department responses to customer or department issues. Work with other departments as necessary to maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of new technology being deployed
• Handle customer complaints as needed. Develop community relations through on-going discussions with property managers and local community officials
• In the role of manager: select, lead, motivate, counsel, evaluate, and discipline staff. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to foster and develop a team-orientation among staff. Proactively support and motivate training
• Ensure timely and accurate performance reporting and reviews
• Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance
• Other duties as assigned or required
