Job Description
Qualifications:
• Experience preferred.
• Truck, ladders, supplies, and basic tools required.
• Weekends and extended hours are available.
• Candidates must be able to pass a Drug and Criminal Background Screen and have a valid driver's license with a good driving record. No Dui's in the last 3 years.
• Be able to take and pass certifications testing at an off site facility.
Contract requires a combination of skills including ability to communicate with customers, ability to work with hand tools, and ability to work by yourself. Contractors will be working in the field directly with our customers and must be able to drive a vehicle, lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors, use hand tools, and work in attics and/or crawl spaces.
Responsibilities:
• Plans installations by evaluating location; locating line of sight; laying-out equipment and wiring plan.
• Establishes satellite system by installing dish; running and pulling cable; programming and calibrating equipment; adhering to codes, regulations, and standards.
• Verifies system by testing equipment and connections; identifying and correcting problems.
• Activate the customer's service and incorporate customers existing equipment.
• Maintains records by documenting installation, service, and repairs.
• Repairs service by listening to customer's description of problems; diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing problems by replacing and/or upgrading components.
• Communicate with the customer and ensure that the customer thoroughly understands how to work the system.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safe working practices.
