Qualifications
3 Year field engineering strand mapping and or as built mapping and pole measurements to decide proper make ready adjustments when required. Must be familiar with National Electrical Safety Code as it applies to outside plant.
Other Requirements
Laser Ranging Device - Impulse - TruPulse or equivalent. Measuring wheel. WAAS enabled GPS Hand held with 3 meter accuracy such as Garmin GPSmap 62s. 34 foot Hastings fiberglass measuring stick. Late model truck or vehicle.
Job Description
Performing mapping of proposed fiber interconnects between cell towers and proposed splice location to existing fiber cable. All maps supplied have routes preset to map. All poles have to be measured from lowest power be secondary - neutral down thru communication cables. Midspan measurements required for street or highway crossings only.
All poles, footage, GPS coordinates, pole number(s) to be recorded. No addressing as these are only interconnects. Sites vary in size.
