Pay
Pay is D.O.E., and preparedness of the applicant, and is comparable to other companies. Pay for the position available is hourly, with overtime, perdiem, and mileage paid out for miles driven at work. Pay available upon request.
Qualifications
Must possess skills equivalent to a journeyman in the forte applying for.
Other Requirements
Truck and tools not mandatory, as company tools and vehicles are available, however pay will reflect truck and tools being provided. We will be giving preference to those that are truck and tooled first. Call for tool list.
Job Description
Installation and troubleshooting pots and dsl, and cut-overs. working from the cross-connect to customer prem. Installing jacks, wire, and modems. Programming dsl modems, etc. Laying duct in open trench, pulling cable, and drop. Maitenance on outside plant. Copper splicing experience a plus, with knowledge of mait.,new construction,trouble isolation, and repair of cut cables. Installing peds, and other terminals. Occasional installation of ont's. Reporting to cut copper cables and drops,and if profficient repairing cuts. Plant is probably around 85 percent direct buried, 10 percent aerial, and 5 percent underground. Must be half profficient with computers, and punctual with paperwork. Must possess skills necessary to complete assigned or un-assigned work with little to no supervision, beyond an approximate 1 week training. Must be a team player, with the vision of accomplishment.
Must have clean driving record, a clean crimminal past,with no DUI's in the last 7 years, and be able to pass a drug test. Sorry, we don't need any druggies around. Must be a dependable, hard worker, who will be responsible, and take the bull by the horn. We operate on a fairly flexible rotation, first come, first serve basis. Call for any other imformation.
