Qualifications
• Must have knowledge of HFC plant operations
• Knowledge of coax splicing
• Must be self motivated and able to work within time controls
• Must be detail oriented and proficient with paperwork and computers
• Knowledge of MS Excel & Word
• Verbal and Oral Communication skills
• Must be willing to travel and work odd hours in a production environment
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a DOT physical
OPGW Experience a Plus.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Splice fiber optic cables using single and mass fusion equipment
• Test fiber using Optical Time Domain (OTDR) or power meter and light source, field testing with a light identifier
• Maintain test documentation
• Maintain project tracing information (production sheets, time sheets, and customer required paperwork)
• Ability to work aloft in a bucket truck or on a ladder
• Work within time controls
