Piece rate. Line item pricing on additional work. Pay is bi-weekly, (W-2) employee. 50% PPO medical paid for employee after successful 120 period. Uniform and vehicle logos supplied.
Qualifications
Must have knowledge of aerial and UG construction practices. Must be well versed in National Electric Code for communications construction. Must be familiar with comm. engineering practices (e.g.. make-ready, city and township permits, state permits) Must be able to strand map and understand OH guying practices. Must have full understanding of installation practices (e.g..pre-wire, post-wire, most efficient routing etc) Must understand Comcast HSI and CDV installs, all CATV symbols.
Other Requirements
NEAT/CLEAN APPEARANCE IS A MUST! Must have clean, good running vehicle. Must have proof of current auto insurance and valid driver's license. Must have strong computer skills. Footage wheel, range finder, measuring stick, small ladder and hand tools. Good penmanship, neat drawing is a must. Must have good people skills. Must be able to relocate at your own expense. EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Engineering background is important.
Job Description
Survey tech is looking for the most efficient route to provide customer service. You will perform various tasks related to Commercial Surveys including: Calling and scheduling appts with customers, meet with property owners / mgrs, draw outside and inside of all buildings showing all cable routes with any necessary construction notes, provide as-built drawing, strand map aerial or UG for extensions, Check-in / complete jobs out electronically. Must have good self management skills. you will be working in a variety of situations and conditions. You must enter attics, basements, roof tops, etc. to verify all proposed routes.
Other functions that maybe involved: Perform pole engineering by sticking poles and filling out data sheets with make-ready recommendations. Perform permit drawing. If you can perform these, it is a major plus!
